For Halloween this year, my family and i decided to go to the beach! For the past two years we have gone with our family and friends to RockyPoint. We stay in the same house every year. Tow weeks after Hailey got back from her trip to D.C. we packed up and headed down to Mexico. On, Halloween we decorated the house and our rooms. We also dressed up and had contests. The last day we were there the kids rode on the banana boat and we also rented a Sea Doo for the day. I taught my kids and there friends how to drive it and in no time at all they were driving it by themselves! Hailey and her friend Haley got stuck in the middle of the ocean and were freaking out. Johnny and I ran down the beach screaming to them how to get it started. They couldn't start it and I decided to swim out to them. Once i got to the Sea Doo and tried starting it up, it started right up. I told them what we had done wrong and they tried to tell me that they did that, but i guess they did the tiniest thing wrong! Whatever it was. It was all good though. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back!

Hailey's Trip to D.C.
As most of you know, Hailey is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA. This past spring she was invited to go to Washington D.C. for a Leadership program. She visited D.C. for one week with People to People. She attended by herself, but we knew she could do it and that she would be fine. We raised money to help send her to the forum. Before attending she had to complete three paragraph assignments that involved People to People. We registered her to attend the forum for the dates: October 13-19. We drove down to Phoenix and my wife and I had the pleasure of walking her to her gate. We watched her board and knew she was going to have a great time. Throughout the week she was there, she visited monuments, memorials, and museums. All week she took pictures, bought souvenirs, and learned about history of the country. She kept us updated throughout the week when she had a chance to call. Every night she would call sleepy and tired from the day. We longed for her return all week. On the 19th she reported where she was at all times. My son, wife, and I drove down to Phoenix smiling because she was finally going to be home. When she landed in Phoenix, she called us and we told her where we were. Her smile, when she saw us, brightened my whole day. We surprised her and invited my parents to come and welcome her home! The three hour ride home we heard all about her trip, received souvenirs she had bought us, and she informed us that she had about 900 pics to show us. Apparently, to her, it was a trip of a lifetime!
